Most homes today use smart TVs alongside smartphones. Smartphones whose capabilities are no longer limited to answering calls and texting.
You can control your home smart TV with an Android or iPhone smartphone, all you need is apps designed for this purpose. It’s worth noting that TV remote controls don’t work with all TVs. That’s why we are testing different programs to select the best one that is more compatible with home TV.
Some remote control programs have a database of different models of TVs and even projectors, and you need to do a simple database search to be able to control a particular device. Some applications also have customization capabilities that allow you to set a custom button to perform a specific task or signal. Of course, response to a particular signal requires a number of specific tasks and, ultimately, the performance of programs in relation to signals. There are two options for controlling smart TVs. Infrared light control provided your phone has this capability and WiFi control provided both devices are on the same WiFi network.
1.Android TV Remote Control
Android TV Remote Control is an app officially released by Google. You can use this app to control Android devices that are on the same WiFi network as your Android phone. If your TV uses an Ethernet connection, you can use Bluetooth to control it from your smartphone via Bluetooth. This powerful app provides users with both directional and D-Pad buttons. You can use Voice Search (via your phone’s microphone and the special option provided by the app (provided your TV supports this feature). This app works with all Android TVs.
2. Amazon Fire TV Remote
You use Amazon products similar to Amazon Fire TV, the best software available to you is the official app called amazon Fire TV Remote. The program also provides D-Pad and arrow buttons for easy operation. It is also possible to use audio capability. Interestingly, the tool provides users with the ability to type text in order to insert web addresses more easily. More precisely, if you don’t feel comfortable typing with the keyboard provided by the TV, there’s a touch keyboard on your phone or tablet. If you are using a variety of Fire TV devices, there is no worry, as the above application is able to easily switch between the list of these devices.
3. RCA Universal Remote
The two programs we introduced focused on controlling a particular device. But what if we had a program that manages multiple devices? In that case you should go to the RCA Universal Remote program. It works well with most TVs, DVD players and smart crystals as well as multimedia streaming devices. Be sure, however, that the configuration of this application is time consuming.
4. Peel Universal Smart TV Remote Control
Peel Universal Smart TV is one of the best almost universal remote control applications designed to cover a wide range of devices. You can use this app to control TV and most smart devices. Interestingly, the program even supports a number of Apple products such as Apple TV. The smart lock screen is one of the interesting features of this program that is able to maintain a list of channels you have recently viewed for easier access so that you can easily view the news channel, weather, and more in the future.
5. Apple TV Remote
Apple TV Remote is the official app for controlling Apple TV via iPhone. This app lets you control Apple TV via iPod. Similar to the Android TV and Fire TV remote control, you can also use gestures and text typing on the iPhone keyboard. Siri support and even Game Mode to provide controls are simply other features of this software. The app is compatible with the iPhone’s accelerometer and gyroscope and can therefore store hardware information collected for Apple TV games and other applications.
6. AnyMote Smart IR Remote
AnyMote Smart IR Remote is one of the best programs to turn into one of the best TV remote control software if your hardware supports IR. The program is fully customizable, and you can define how to sweep it and even define macros for buttons to do something special. Interestingly, the program even allows you to adjust the TV’s brightness and to zoom in or out with a single step. 7. Unified TV
Unified TV is another popular program that is compatible with most TVs. Similar to the Peel Universal Smart TV Control, this app supports a wide range of devices and gadgets. The program even works with game consoles like Xbox and PlayStation 4, streaming gadgets like Apple TV, Nvidia Shield and Roku, and projectors similar to BenQ, Canon, Dell, InFocus, Sanyo and Sony. NFC support, widgets, and integration with Flic and Tasker are other features of the app.
