The easiest way to create a cookie chart in Excel
Pie chart: This chart is used to show the total ratio. The total number of numbers and ratios is considered to be 100, and the graph contains only a few sections (if the number of sections is large, it is a little difficult to estimate the size of the angles).
The pie chart consists of three types of charts, the first being the 2D Pie Chart , the second the 3D Pie chart and the third the Donut Pie chart .
Let’s take an example to better understand it.
We have a table from the “A1 to B6” range that has the Zone and Sold columns as well as the total sold unit . Column A contains the name of the area, column B contains the sales amount, and cell B6 contains the total sales revenue. We also have another table of goals and needs of each unit sold in each area.
Follow these steps to create a pie chart:
- Select the range “A1 to B6” .
- Go to the Insert tab and select 3D Pie Chart from the list of charts .
- Then click on the first pie chart at the top left.
- The name of the column with the number is selected for the chart name and also written in a description line (if your data contains a description).
Move the chart:
- To move the chart, just click on the chart and hold the mouse pointer over the chart, then drag it and release the cursor.
Resize chart:
- Click on one of the dotted handles at the edge of the chart.
- Then drag the handle in or out to resize the chart.
Add tags to the chart:
- To add tags to the chart, just right-click on the chart to bring up a window.
- Click Add labels .
Follow the steps below to delete the chart description:
- To delete the chart description, click on legend and then right-click. A window will appear.
- Then click Delete .
Note: If you want to create another chart, create a Bar chart or Column chart instead of a Pie chart . You can use these charts as an alternative to pie charts because it is easier to compare values using these charts.
