How to lock your Windows 10 PC?

There are several ways to lock your Windows 10 screen. One of the basic security measures you can take when leaving your computer is to lock it.

Yes, strong passwords and other aspects of “security health” are important, but if you have physical access to your files, you’re a loser. However, there is no reason to try to get away without locking your computer.

You can only lock your computer in 5 simple ways when leaving the room or if an emergency occurs.

How to lock Windows 10 computer?

Use Windows Lock Key

Perhaps the simplest and safest way to lock a computer is to press Windows Key + L. This will quickly lock the computer and you can enter your password to reuse the computer.

Use CONTROL + ALT + DELETE as a Windows Lock Shortcut

This keyboard shortcut is one of the oldest built-in shortcuts still used by millions of computer users. To lock the computer, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, then choose Lock from the options that appear.

Use the Start menu to lock the screen

The Windows workflow in general gives you several ways to do the same thing, and this is a good example of a less common but more difficult way to lock the computer screen.

1. Select the Start menu

Select the User Avatar icon for your Windows Account on the left side of the screen.

Then Select Lock.

Enable screen saver to lock computer automatically

If you use a screen saver or screen saver, you can delegate the task of automatically locking the screen.

1. Open the control panel.

In the search box in the upper right corner, type “screen saver”, then select Change screen saver.

3- Set the length of time you want the computer to wait before the screensaver is activated. Then select On resume and display logon screen.

Select Ok.

The longer the screen saver is activated, the more people will have access to it before the computer locks. But if you set up screen saver to lock the computer too soon, a screen saver will appear when using the computer without moving your mouse or typing.
