Each transition comes with a default speed that you can adjust. Watch this video to find out more.

Set the speed of a transition

  • adjust A shorter duration means a slide advances faster, and larger numbers make the effect go more slowly. Select the slide that has the transition that you want to change.
  • On the TRANSITIONS tab, in the Timing group, in the Duration box, type the number of seconds that you want it to run.
  • If you want all the slide show’s transition effects to use the same speed, click Apply To All.

adjust Each transition comes with a default speed that you can adjust.

For example, let’s click More to open the Transitions gallery and click Page Curl to apply that transition.

The transition looks like a page being turned.

To see the speed setting for the transition, look in the Duration box.

The transition’s duration is set at 1.25 seconds.

I’ll click Apply To All to apply the transition to all the slides.

And then, I’ll click Slide Show to see whether I like the transition’s speed, slide to slide.

I think the page turn could be a little slower.

I’ll press Esc to return to Normal view.

To make the transition take more time, in the Duration box, I’ll click the up arrow to increase the duration to 1.5 seconds.

Then, for adjust I’ll click Apply To All.

Let’s click Slide Show to see if we like the change.

Resuming from where we were, I’ll click through some slides.

I do like the transition as it has slowed down a little bit.

Back in Normal view, note that I can vary the speed as well as the transition type for the selected slides.

For example, let’s make the Section Header slides different. I’ll press Ctrl as I select the Section Headers, Slides 5 and 9.

For these slides, I am going to apply a different transition, Peel Off, and I’ll slow it down.

For Duration, I’ll click the up arrow and increase the number to 2 seconds.

I’ll start from the Title Slide and click Slide Show to see how this looks.

Clicking from the Title Slide, we have the Page Curl transition on each slide, until we get to the first Section Header.

And there, the page peels off and the transition goes more slowly.

The slides in the section once again use the Page Curl transition, but change to the slower Peel Off transition at the next Section Header.

Now, you can make effective use of transitions, adding visual interest and variety to your slides.

For more information, see the course summary and experiment some more with PowerPoint.

How to create and edit various charts in powerpoint software (step by step) http://wiki.shopingserver.com/how-to-create-and-edit-various-charts-in-powerpoint-software-step-by-step/ http://wiki.shopingserver.com/how-to-create-and-edit-various-charts-in-powerpoint-software-step-by-step/#respond Fri, 09 Oct 2020 21:23:38 +0000 http://wiki.shopingserver.com/?p=28156 A chart is a tool that you can use to graphically communicate data. Connecting a chart in an image allows your audience to understand the concepts behind the numbers, making it easy to see comparisons and trends.

Types of charts create and edit

PowerPoint has many different types of charts and allows you to choose the model that best fits your data. To use charts effectively, you need to understand how to use different charts.

Slide 1: PowerPoint has many types of diagrams, each of which has its own advantages. Click on the arrows to see some of the different types of charts available in PowerPoint.

Bar chart Page chart Surface diagram Bar graph Pie chart Linear graph

Important note! If you want to paste a chart with detailed information in Excel, you must have them in Excel format!Example of a bar chart

Select the Chart option from the Insert tab . Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

A contact box is displayed. Use the classification on the left and read the diagrams on the right. Select the desired chart and click OK .

The first step in choosing a chart

A chart will appear in a new window.

screenshot-of-powerpoint-2013-17

Enter the data into Excel.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

If necessary, draw the bottom and right margins of the blue line to increase or decrease sufficient range for rows and columns. Only data that is well implemented is shown in the graph.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

When this is done, click X to close the window.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

The chart is completed.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

You can edit the chart data at any time by selecting the chart and clicking on the Edit Data command in the Design tab .

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

You can also click on the chart placement command in the placeholder to place the new chart.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

Then You can also embed an existing Excel chart in your PowerPoint. This is useful when you know you need to update the data in an Excel file and you want the chart to automatically update the changed Excel data.

Chart Modification and Chart Tools

– There are many other ways to synchronize and organize charts. For example, PowerPoint lets you change the chart type, reorganize the chart data, and even change the layout and style of the chart.

To change the chart type – If you find that your data does not fit well with a particular chart, you can simply enter a new chart type. In your example, you can change your chart from a line chart to a bar chart. Select the chart you want to change. The design table can be seen on the right side of the ribbon. Based on the design tab, click on the command to change the chart type.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

A dialog box appears.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

Select the desired chart type and click OK .

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

A new chart type is displayed.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

To switch row and column data – sometimes your goal is to change the way charts group data. For example, in the chart below, book sales data is grouped by genre, and columns are presented for each year. However, we can not change the rows and columns in such a way that the data graph is grouped by year and the columns are displayed for each genre. In both cases, the chart contains the same data and is only organized differently.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

Select the diagram you want to modify. The Design tab is displayed . From this tab, select the Edit Data command in the Data group .

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

Click the chart again and then select the Switch Row / Column command in the Data group .

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

Rows and columns change.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

Note that when numeric data is entered in the first column of the page, changing columns and rows can cause unexpected results. One solution is to add an apostrophe before each number, indicating that parts of the computer can represent it as text instead of a numeric value. For example, 2013 is entered as ‘2013’.

Enter an apostrophe before the numeric data in the first column.

To change the chart layout

The preset chart layout allows you to modify chart elements, including chart titles, margins, and data labels, to make your chart easier to read. Select the diagram you want to modify. Design tab is observed.

From the Design tab , click on the Quick layout command .

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

Select the desired predefined design from the list that appears.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

The chart can be updated to show the new design.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

To change the chart element (such as the chart title), click on it and start typing.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

To change the chart type: Chart style allows you to quickly modify the layout and get to know your chart. Select the diagram you want to modify. The Design tab is displayed . Based on the Design tab, click on the Delete More arrow in the Chart Styles group.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

Select. Graphs can be viewed in the selected style.

Screenshot of PowerPoint 2013

You can also use chart layout shortcuts to quickly add chart elements, change chart style, and filter chart data.

Resize the slide

By default, all slides in PowerPoint 2013 are defined as 16: 9 or screen width. Widescreen TVs also use a 16: 9 aspect ratio. Slides will work better with widescreen displays and projectors. However, if you need a standard 4-by-3 display to present yourself, it is easy to resize the slide to fit it.

To change the slide size, select Design, then click Slid Size. Select the desired slide size from the menu that appears, or click Custom Slide Size گزینه.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_211046.jpg

3- The selected theme will be applied to your entire presentation.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_211130.jpg

Try using several different themes for your presentation. Some themes will work better depending on your content.

Efficient slide layout

Sometimes you may find that the slide design does not exactly meet your needs. For example, a design may have too many or too few components. You can also sort the variables yourself. Fortunately, setting up slide layouts in PowerPoint is easy.

Placeholder settings

To select a placeholder: Place the mouse on the edge of the slide (text box) and click on it (first you need to click on the text box to see the border). Selecting it instead of the dotted line will complete the line.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_211335.jpg

Move placeholder: Select the place to write, then click on it and drag it to the desired location.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_213421.jpg

Resize placeholder: Select the location you want to resize. Measurement categories will appear. Click and drag on the measurement handles to reach the desired size. You can use corner measurement handles to resize the icon at the same time.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_213504.jpg

Delete placeholder: Select the place you want to delete, then press the Delete or Backspace key on the keyboard.

Add a text box

The text can be placed in the text box. Inserting a text box allows you to add text to a slide show. Unlike other methods, the text box always stays the same, even if you change the theme.

1. From the Insert tab, select the Text Box command.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_213615.jpg

2- To drag the text box on the slide, click, hold and drag the button.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_213808.jpg

3- The text box will appear. To add text, click the text box and start typing.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_213915.jpg

Use blank slides

If you want more control over your content, you may prefer to use a blank slide that contains no variables. Blank slides can be customized by adding text boxes, images, charts, and more.

To insert a blank slide, click New Slide, then select Blank from the menu that appears.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_213954.jpg

While blank slides have more flexibility to present, keep in mind that you can not use pre-designed layouts in every theme.

To play the presentation

Once you have your slides arranged, you may want to submit them. The display actually presents the slide to the audience.

1. Click the Start From Start instructions in the Quick Access toolbar to view your presentation.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_214111.jpg

2- The presentation will appear in full screen mode.
3- You can move to the next slide by clicking the mouse or pressing the space bar on your keyboard. You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move forward or backward.
4. Press the Esc key to exit the presentation mode.

You can also press the F5 key on the top of your keyboard to display a display.

Practice!

1. Create a new PowerPoint presentation, or download our exercise proposal.
2. Insert new slides with title and content layout.
3- Try to add some icons.
4- Change the slide design. If you are using an example, change the layout of slide 3 to Header.
5. Copy and drag the slide, then move it to a new location.
6- Leave a theme for your presentation. If you use an example, apply the theme.
7. Insert a blank slide, then insert a text box on the slide.
8. Change the slide size from Widescreen to Standard.

Remove slide background

By default, all slides in your presentation have a white background. Changing the background is easy for some or all slides. The background can include a design, pattern or image.

1. Select the Design tab and then click on Format Background.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_210752.jpg

2. The Format Background section appears on the right. Select the desired options. In our example, we use the Solid fill option with gold color.

3- The background of the selected slide is applied.
4. If you want, you can click Apply to All to apply the same background to all slides.

Apply a theme

A theme is a predefined combination of colors, fonts, and special effects that can be quickly applied to entire slides. Different themes change the order of existing components. We will talk about themes later.

1. Click Design and then click the drop-down list to see all available themes.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_210958.jpg

2- Select the desired theme.

Introduction

There are many things to keep in mind when presenting. How long does it take? What will you say? If you were an audience, how would you view it? Fortunately, PowerPoint provides tools to help ensure how your presentation fits. In this lesson, you will learn how to preview and record. You will also learn about presentation options, such as creating a presentation video or presenting slides online to remote audiences. Finally, you will learn how to streamline your presentation with hidden or sorted slides.

It is better to be familiar with the  complete tutorial on how to work with slides and their components in PowerPoint (step by step).

Repeat slideshow scheduling

You can use this exercise if you want your slides to change automatically at a specific time (without you clicking). With this feature, you can save the schedule for each slide and animation. PowerPoint then plays the presentation time according to the saved time.

Repeat scheduling

1. Select the Slide show tab , then find the setting group.

2. On the Slide Show tab, click the Rehears Timing command . You return to a full screen view of your presentation.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_214836.jpg

3- Practice your presentation. When you are ready to move to the next slide, click the Next button in the recording toolbar in the upper left corner of the screen. You can also use the right arrow key.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_214911.jpg

4. When you finish the show, a dialog box will appear with the total presentation time.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_215052.jpg

5. If you are satisfied with your schedule, click Yes .

If you need to try more than once to get the timing right, the recording toolbar has options that allow you to pause across slides. To stop the timer, pause button ( Pause ) in the toolbar. Actions taken while the timer is stopped are not included in the schedule. Click the re-record button to repeat the schedule on the current slide .

Learn PowerPoint very easily and in less than 10 days with the help of this training package !

Show slide show

The slide recording feature is similar to the Rehearse Timing feature , but a little more sophisticated. If you have a microphone on your computer, you can record your voice for the entire presentation. If you make a continuous movement of your slides or a video, it will be useful for your presentation. The mouse will not be displayed on the screen of the recorded slide, so if you want to specify the details on the screen, you can use the PowerPoint laser pointer option.

1. Click on the slid show tab, then find the setting group.
2. Click the slider at the bottom of the Record Slide Show to select start Recording from Beginning or start recording Recording from Current slide .

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_222944.jpg

3. A dialog box will appear. Select the desired options. Remember, if you have a microphone connected to your computer, you can only record the narration.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_220057.jpg

4. Click start recording . Your presentation will open to a full page.
5. Show your slide. If recording a story, make sure you speak clearly into the microphone. When you are ready to move to the next slide, click the Next button in the recording toolbar in the upper left corner of the screen or use the right arrow key.

6. When you finish the presentation, PowerPoint closes the full page presentation.
7- Slide show schedule and narration are included in your presentation. The slides are marked with a speaker symbol in the lower left corner.

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_220135.jpg

Hold down the Ctrl key and the left mouse button to specify details during recording . The cursor shows itself as a laser pointer. Simply move your mouse to show the desired details. Release the Ctrl key when you have submitted everything .

C: \ Users \ intel \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Windows \ INetCache \ Content.Word \ IMG_20171029_220236.jpg

Remove timing from recorded slides

1. Click on the Slide Show tab, then select Record Slide Show .
2. Click on the slide arrow at the bottom of the Record Slide Show .
